Chiba Prefecture / Chiba Ken (千葉県)

Chiba Prefecture was formed during the Meiji Period by the merger of Kisarazu Prefecture and Inba Prefecture in 1873. The borders of Chiba Prefecture are the Pacific Ocean to the east and south, Ibaraki Prefecture to the north, Saitama Prefecture on the north west, Tokyo and Tokyo Bay to the west.

Official pages for each of the prefectures will have sections of interest to visitors. These will likely be labeled as dealing with culture, tourism, or events.

NOTE: For many locations the nearest train station may not be the best as a bus ride will be required. Instead the best station for a bus transfer is listed.
