Higashimurayama (東村山市)

Formed as a larger village from the merger of several local villages as Higashi-Murayama in 1889. In 1942 the population had grown enough for it to be designated a town, in 1964 it was designated a city. It is bordered on the North by Saitama Prefecture. The rail lines that serve Higashimurayama are the: Seibu Shinjuku Line, Seibu Kokubunji Line, Seibu Seibuen Line, Seibu Tamako Line, and the JR Musashino Line.

Official pages for each of the cities and towns of will have sections of interest to visitors. These will likely be labeled as dealing with culture, tourism, or events.
